Tasmania (2008)

My dear Marymount classmate Soo Chin lives on the hillside of Kingston, Hobart with her lovely family – husband, two daughters and son and a bountiful brood of over ten (I’ve lost count) beautiful grandchildren.

I stayed with her for ten days in all and we drove upto Launceston, Davenport and back. Its a healthy lifestyle – brisk walking (pant pant) on the hill, organic fruits and vegetables from her garden. Like her mum, she’s an accomplisged homemaker and cook.

I bought lots of artist jewellery on that trip. I was toying with the idea of starting a gift-shop, post-retirement but haha, realised that I simply could not make money out of my friends. So, they are sitting in drawers at home and I wear them or present them as gifts.
